Common things
I didn't get my welcome email
It's only a hello. Nothing in it needs clicking, and your account works whether or not it arrives. Check your spam folder if you'd like it; marking it "not spam" helps everyone after you.
I typed my email address wrong
Change it from Profile → Settings while you're still signed in. Do it before you forget your password, because a password reset can only go to the address on the account.
My invite code doesn't work
Codes are eight characters and are case-insensitive. A code stops working once someone has claimed it, and you can only be paired with one person at a time. If you're already paired, leave that pairing first from Profile.
My partner's tree looks like it's dying
It isn't. A tree with fewer recent completions turns amber and rests. That's the lowest state there is, and it comes back the moment they show up again. Nothing in Inosc dies, and nothing punishes you.
My roots aren't moving
Roots grow on days that count for both of you, and only once the day has closed, so a day you both complete shows up the following morning. Days before you paired don't count, and neither does a day when only one of you showed up.
A habit photo has disappeared
Habit photos are kept for 14 days and then deleted automatically, from our storage and from your phone. The tick for that day stays; only the photo goes. If you want to keep one, save your own copy before then.
I'm not getting nudges
Check that notifications for Inosc are on in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Inosc. With them off, a nudge still reaches you: it waits on your Habits screen until you open the app.
I want to unpair
Profile → Leave pairing. Shared root progress resets to zero and you each stop seeing the other's habits. Your own tree, rings and badges stay yours.
I want to cancel my subscription
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. On your iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Inosc. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends. Deleting your Inosc account does not cancel the subscription. That only happens through Apple.
I paid, but the app says I'm not subscribed
Open the subscription screen in Inosc and tap Restore. That asks Apple to re-check the purchase on your Apple ID. If it still doesn't show, write to us from the email on your account.
What's the paired rate?
A lower monthly price that unlocks after seven paired days: days you and your partner both show up while paired to each other. Once you've earned it, it's yours for as long as you stay subscribed. The rule is spelled out under Profile → Settings → Subscription.
I want to delete my account
Profile → Settings → Delete account. It's permanent and immediate: your habits, completions, photos, profile, invite codes and nudges go, and any pairing ends. See the privacy policy for exactly what's removed.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email support@inosc.app from the address on your account and we'll send it to you within 30 days. The privacy policy lists everything we keep.
